CHAI, Afrocab (community and civil society engagement – CCSE – lead), Penta, and operational research partners Zvitambo,
Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, and Mildmay Uganda have received an Advanced
HIV Disease (AHD) grant to implement THRIVE (Transforming Advanced HIV
Disease CaRe in LMICs through ComprehensiVe and Equitable Access) to reduce HIV-related mortality among adults and Children Living with HIV (CLHIV) by enabling global access to critical prevention, screening, and treatment commodities, and centring local leadership and community-owned solutions to find and serve people living with AHD where they are. The consortium will build on existing and direct partnerships with national governments and global partners like WHO, PEPFAR, Global Fund, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Aurum to ensure that country efforts are not siloed, complement other Unitaid investments and solutions are scaled and sustained beyond the life of this project.
Afrocab seeks a passionate and experienced Country Lead, to provide national leadership and coordination for the THRIVE Project’s CCSE in Kenya. This fixed contract role will play a crucial role in driving advocacy and engagement for Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) at the country and regional levels. The CL must be a resident of Nairobi with extensive networks and knowledge of local national HIV/AHD networks and service delivery mechanisms including differentiated service delivery (DSD) models
