People living with HIV and other advocates must be involved in all aspects of medical care. This includes input into clinical guidelines and the design and management of clinical trials.

AfroCAB trains and raises awareness among members about national guideline adaptation processes. Members are encouraged to work with ART guideline technical working groups in their respective countries.

AFROCAB participates in clinical trials and other research in Africa.
